Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey to faith. If you, or someone you know, has felt a nudge to embark on this spiritual journey towards Catholicism, the RCIA may be right for you.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process for those who desire to become Catholic.
This communal process is for:
- Adults who have never been baptized
- Adults who were baptized Catholic but who have not received the Sacraments of Holy Communion or Confirmation
- Adults who want to learn more about their Catholic faith.
Classes for Candidates and Sponsors begin on Tuesday,
September 17, 2024 at 7:00 pm in lower level of the
Faith Formation office, located at 114 South Gifford St.

The first night is inquiry and introduction of the journey of becoming Catholic.
We have a great team of teachers who will be presenting on the teachings of the Catholic Church. Through weekly meetings you'll learn about the Catholic faith with others who will be on a similar journey. Participants will enter fully into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil which will be celebrated on Holy Saturday evening in 2022.
Each participant will have a sponsor who will support them on their faith journey. The sponsor needs to be fully intiated practicing Catholic. If a candidate does not have someone to ask, we have parishioners who would be honored to serve as a sponsor.
